  • The 43rd Bangkok International Motor Show Is Full of Cars and Beautiful Cars

The 43rd Bangkok International Motor Show is back with lots of new cars and beautiful girls! It’s been a decade since we first visited the 33rd Bangkok International Motor Show back in 2012. Can you believe it? It’s been 10 years! We are glad to be back again! It’s not an easy journey for us to start this website and get to where we are today, but we feel it is always a worthwhile journey.

This year, a few popular car markers debuts some new cars at the 2022 Bangkok International Motor Show. Toyota brings their newest all-new full electric Toyota bZ4x, Ford brings the next generation Ranger, Ranger Raptor, and Everest while the popular Sweden car maker Volvo, brought one of the most popular electric cars, the XC40.

Just like previous years, the Motor Show is flooded with hundreds of beautiful girls. All of them dressed up nicely to make the show more interesting.

Highlights include new electric vehicle models, such as Ford Mustang Mach E, GMW’s Ora Good Cat, MG ZS EV, 2022 Rolls-Royce Ghost Black Badge, a fully-converted 90s JDM Honda Civic – the show’s most interesting full-electric JDM car.

This event is open to the public from March 23 to April 3, daily from 12pm to 10pm. If you happen to be in Bangkok, you can check out the country’s largest auto show at IMPACT Challenger Hall in Muang Thong Thani. One the other hand, you can also check out the video here.

  • The 33rd Bangkok International Motor Show (Virtual Tour)

SAWASDEE KA! The 33rd Bangkok International Motor Show, it all starts here.
    Bangkok International Motor Show
Today is the first day of the 33rd Bangkok International Motor Show. We understand that there are many people could not make it especially those who are staying thousand miles away from Bangkok. We flew in today and spent one whole day at the Motor Show. Here is a little thing we created for all our readers from around the world, the Virtual Tour of The 33rd Bangkok International Motor Show.

It took us two hours and five minutes to reach Suvarnabhumi airport. Thanks to our lovely friend in Bangkok, Jaidee Kanyala, who picked us up at the airport and straight to the Impact Challenger Hall, Muang Thong Thani. The distance is about 50km (31miles) from the airport to the Motor Show but it took us two hours to reach there due to the crazy traffic jam in Bangkok. Indeed, we were forced to have our lunch in Jaidee’s car. According to Jaidee, for those who do not drive to the Motor Show, he or she can pick up a taxi/cab from the airport. It will cost around 400-500baht (US$12-$16). The ticket to enter the Motor Show is 100baht (approximately US$3) per person. It is free if you are wearing any Thai school uniforms.

This year, there are many new vehicles are being displayed at the Motor Show including Chevrolet Trailblazer, Mitsubishi Mirage, Mercedes-Benz Concept A-Class, Toyota NS4, Mazda Minagi, Nissan Townpod, Toyota FT-EV III, Ford Territory, and a few more to name here. The Chevrolet Trailblazer and Mitsubishi Mirage were launched two weeks prior to the show to gain more attention from the market before the Motor Show starts.

Large number of eco-cars, hybrid cars, and diesel-powered cars are available at the events. Plenty of potential buyers aim for these cars due to the rising cost of petrol inThailand. Consumers who buy eco-cars are also able to enjoy a lower excise duty as part of Thai government’s effort to protect the environment.

    Virtual Tour

Start the virtual tour by clicking the brand/exhibitors (hyperlink below the image) that you wish to go “into” the booth and see their displayed vehicles. Note that we only include car exhibitors in this virtual tour. Accessories, motorcycles, and other non-car related are currently not available.

  • Mitsubishi Mirage launched – from 380000 baht with 22km/liter

    Mitsubishi Mirage

The Mitsubishi Mirage is now officially launched in Thailand and the sales will begin end of March. Starting from 380,000 baht, consumers now stand a chance to own an affordable eco car with high fuel consumption at 22 km/l (51.75 mpg), which is among the best in its class. The new Mirage is a brand new idea from Mitsubishi to target the growing small car market in Thailand as well as global markets. It is a small car with more saving, more utilities, more entertainment, more safety, and more colors.

The Mirage is about the size of a Nissan March or a MINI Cooper hatchback. It is powered by a 1.2-liter three-cylinder MIVEC engine which is powerful enough to bring five passengers from one place to another. The power is sent directly to the front wheel through the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The five-door subcompact may look small but it is complete with everything that is needed – a small trunk at the back, a transmission, an engine with good fuel economy, air-conditioning, four wheels, some electronic equipments, and of course a steering wheel.

    MORE Utilities

There are five special utilities come together with this car that really attracts the buyer. Start from the KOS (Keyless Operation System), owner can open the car door and also start the engine with one push-engine switch button as long as he has the remote key within 70cm from the sensor inside the car. Other than these two high-tech utilities, the Mirage also features a 60/40 spilt-folding rear seat to create more cargo room. Inside the car, there is a 7-inch touch screen multimedia player for DVD, CD, MP3, and navigation system.

    MORE Safety

Safety is what consumers always concerned about for subcompact car. The reinforced impact safety evolution body (RISE) enhances passenger protection performance and improves collision safety performance. The body also uses high tensile steel plates to create a high rigidity and light weight body for better performance. That is one reason how the Mirage achieves more than 50mpg.

    MORE Colors

The Mirage will be available in eight exterior colors, these include Lemonade Yellow Metallic, Red Metallic, Pop Green Metallic, Cerulean Blue Mica, Pearl White, Cool Silver Metallic, Eisen Gray Mica, and Black Mica.

Mitsubishi Mirage’s competitors or similar cars: Nissan March, Honda Brio, Ford Fiesta, Suzuki Swift, Mazda2, Toyota Yaris, Chery QQ, and Nissan Almera.

Fuel economy’s main challenger: Toyota Prius and Toyota Prius C.

Mitsubishi will start taking orders for the Mirage starting from March 28 in conjunction with the 33rd Bangkok Motor Show. For those who are interested to be the first few owners of the Mirage, you can walk into any Mitsubishi showroom in Thailand to book the car now or just bring your cheque book to the Motor Show.

    What Carsut Says

The Mitsubishi Mirage is a respectable small car with good fuel consumption. The price of the basic model could be attractive but lacks of many things that consumers expect. It is without doubt a good first car for anyone who needs a simple and basic transport. Click here to see Mitsubishi Mirage Video.

  • All-New Chevrolet Trailblazer launched in Thailand

    Chevrolet Trailblazer

The all-new Chevrolet Trailblazer is out! It makes world debut in Thailand at a very special event. It is special because the event is also available through an online live channel at Chevrolet.co.th. The debut of the Trailblazer is few days ahead of the 33rd Bangkok International Motor Show which is just around the corner. It is the same car that many Chevrolet fans have viewed it in concept at the 2011 Dubai Motor Show.

“True to its name, the Trailblazer will ‘blaze’ the trail for new Chevrolet vehicles coming into the market. It has been built tough to offer Chevrolet customers everything they need from a heavy-duty SUV,” said Martin Apfel, President of GM Southeast Asia and Chevrolet Sales Thailand. “It will hit the ‘sweet spot’, not just for consumers in Thailand and throughout Southeast Asia, but in every place around the world where it will be sold.” he continued. • Nissan March: The Cheapest Nissan Cars To Own In Thailand

    Nissan March
Starting from 380,000 baht (US$12,500), the Nissan March is the cheapest brand new Nissan you can buy in Thailand. In the U.S., it is known as Nissan Micra. It isn’t odd that the same car has few different names in different places. What is more important is, if it is worth to own one?

The youthfulness March features a 1.2-liter engine (HR12DE) that develops 79 horsepower and 106 nm at 4,400 rpm. Thanks to the high torque output at low engine speeds, the car accelerates well and it gives good fuel consumption. The most stunning thing about the March is the 4.5 meters turning radius that makes it easy to turn. Together with the windscreen design that has great visibility, it makes the hardest parallel parking become easy. Without doubt, it is cute and most suitable for city use especially in a city like Bangkok. (more…)
